Meet the Family

Well at least half my family that is :D

This is the night before a corporate gig I had booked and I had never used half the equipment before. So I setup my lights about 2PM and just shot solid through about 9PM with anyone who would sit for me. The best thing about shooting for such a long time is that it gave me time to really bring every bodies personality out. A portrait is nothing without personality and I think these following photographs are overflowing with personality!

I love this, David is such a goofball who always gives me excellent material.

Of course I couldn't help but do some photoshop experimentation! David had gotten in big trouble earlier so this image just kinda made sense.


I didn't intend for this to have a "Dave hill" look it just kinda ended up that way through rampant experimentation. Randomly editing in the search for something new, it is actually quite educational. I am firm believe in experimentation you just don't know what will happen till you give actually get bogged down in all the nitty gritty details. :D

This was so much fun that I think this would make a cool party idea, setup up the studio lights and just see what happens!
